This house is designated by the Toronto Historical Board. We were granted approval to add two contemporary additions: one at the back of the house with tall floor to ceiling wood windows and the another at the front of the house clad in Eramosa stone. The interior design is contemporary incorporating a new steel stair with wood treads and a three storey glass wall that appears to float up the middle, a new gas fireplace with an acid etched steel surround and floating stone hearth. We also designed an open concept den with a floor to ceiling glass wall that allows light to spill down into the stairwell, a new custom kitchen with display features and a decorative glass mosaic wall.
